There is a very weird migration of neoconservatism into the Fukuyamist left (neoprogs?), who want to bomb all of these random countries on the basis of not them being threatening to America or the west but rather on the basis of them dissenting from their Soros utopia. And this is very hard to explain to some people because they see Soros funding anti-zionist protesters against Israel and think to themselves, "what the fuck are you talking about? Soros hates the jews...", and yet are completely oblivious to the fact that Soros also funds feminist organizations which have a deep hateboner for Iran specifically. He also funded the pussy riot against Russia. He also funded every NGO he could find against Hungary. He did the same against Syria. He has called for Japan's entry into NATO from straight up the 90s, to be used as a counterweight to China (despite China being communist and "on his ideological side").
What do all of these states have in common? They're the chud axis that progressives despise. If you're a neocon and want to keep the forever wars up, you would not stay on the anti-war right wing's side. You'd simply drop the con for prog and become a militant version of Karl Popper's calls for a suppression of globohomo haters globally as a preservation mechanism of the new Weimaria. You'd become the Iron Front.
So even if Trump personally wanted to bomb Iran or not, the claim of jr still stands - the general population that wants to bomb Iran and do forever wars against the rest of the globe are not actually the MAGA people. They're the anti-MAGA democrats. They're the socdems of Europe. These people secretly support all of what they criticize as "zognald". Every progressive in Europe wants to see Iran bombed as a middle finger to Putler, but they LARP otherwise for optics. Most democrats in America want it. Ukraine wants it very much. The common thing among them all? They despise conservatives and anti-war people.

Whenever polling only the MAGA voters, you get a two thirds disapproval of interventionism. They voted for isolationism and they actually meant it and still do to this day.
However once you poll the urban democrats and draw an average among them, the disapproval drops by a whole 10%. And it's not even going into undecided, all of these 10% are going into the yes bar. Or that is to say, democrats are so pro-war (despite LARPing as anti-zionist) that they have a positive impact on imperialism greater than even the evangelical neocon party. They are pro-war despite the sitting president not being their guy. They are pro-everything that Trump is doing right now despite spamming "fell for it again" threads.
It's just one of these statistics that makes you go hmm.
