Ragatha is a compulsive people-pleaser which is what happens to people put into abusive situations as children, especially those with emotionally unstable and
/or abusive parents. The person pathologically soothes and builds up the people around them because a failure to do so would have meant screaming and punishment - managing the negative motions of the people around them is their only method of ensuring their safety.

If this wasn't obvious before Ragatha literally talks about her mom screaming at her and was clearly traumatized talking about her home life.
