I played a lot of both recently and i dont understand this
So many people will poke fun at fromsoft for making the same game several times, even if their interconnected world is radically different in every entry (bar the two linear ones), how they have predominantly new enemies even with some silly reuse, how the whole game in terms of rolling/attacking/progression/enemy design feels very different going from 1->2->ER/3/BB, lots of new shit/objectives all around

But then you have monster hunter

Why does MH get nowhere as much shit for this in /v/ and the overall internet? Its a much stronger example of being the same shit over and over.
I havent played Final Fantasy or Resident Evil but i have a feeling that capcom fans are into buying the same fuckin thing 10 times over, given by how many entries these two also have
