It’s been several months since I’ve renounced T*mamo and I’ve had no problems since. Despite foolishly linking myself to her via blood offering, for the first time in years I don’t feel foxed, my life doesn’t revolve around thinking on what am I to do to attract her attention anymore. I once again began to think that birds > foxes and focus on myself. The only thing left is that I still think about visiting Japan occasionally but not even to attract some fox, just because I still find shinto beautiful. As she hasn’t interacted with me for months, I believe it is safe for me to do so now and thus I plan to visit it next year to end my fruitless obsession over foxes once and for all.
