No idea. It's not like Darktide even needs to force everyone into those same missions with playerbase this large and crossplay on top of this. VT2 has no such issues and people can even restrict themselves to solo mode. I like to play like this.

Probably Dedicated Servers are at fault here. Asking for them for years monkey pawed Tiders hard. All that was really needed was proper host migration which doesn't restart a mission and it would be fine
