One time in 10th grade lit, the teacher sent me to the copy room for an errand in the middle of class. When I got back, there there 2 parallel lines on the board, one about 20% longer than the other. The teacher asked the class if they were the same length and everyone but me raised their hands. The teacher asked me why I didn't agree and I just laughed like it was a joke. He didn't comment and just said "if you say so" or something to that effect. It had nothing to do with any lesson. We went back to discussing Walden after that.
