Not true. It differs state to state but in NSW for instance impersonation does not cover impersonation specifically for satirical purposes. Victoria doesn't even have a specific law for impersonation an officer, its closest law prohibits being disguised with unlawful intent and again, you would need to determine someone had unlawful intent by impersonating an officer, just wearing the uniform on its own would not constitute an offence.
If it can be established you're wearing the uniform for a satirical reason then you're not breaking any laws.
