I remember it was around aged 15/16 that I started to get this pervasive feeling on family holidays that I couldn't shake, like what the fuck am I doing here I should be with my mates back home sat in a park somewhere getting drunk while the sun sets, talking to some bird with butterflies in my stomach and instead I'm stuck here on this family holiday on a bus tour in Barcelona with these people who still see me as a 10 year old boy.

While I appreciate some lads went out on family holidays and hooked up with local girls, that was never me. My mother was insane and there was never any sort of independence allowed.
