They don't. I don't know what happened with Sony, because they had a cycle accurate PS1 emulator for decades and a fairly competent PS2 emulator for almost a decade, yet the current iterations on PS+ make the PS1 Mini blush. You'd think the snail's pace of adding retro games to PS+ meant these games wouldn't be broken messes when they finally get listed, but then you get shit like this:

And Sony takes way too long to actually fix issues like these, which is why people generally don't recommend using PS+ for the classic titles.
