draft is still usually pretty fun, albeit swingier and bombier than it was in the old days.
you can buy old sealed product on the cheap and play with friends, or even play entire old formats as friendly games with proxies or simulators.
mtga is an "ok" f2p experience if you like draft and don't want to play more than an hour or two per day.

but if you mean "get into" mtg as in "busting packs and drafting for fun and profit so that you can build a competitive deck and enter sanctioned events, and then eventually maybe cash out and recoup a significant chunk of your investment", then, see the previous replies to your post.
