Full disclosure I only got into aos in like 2017 so I wasn't there for the primo screeching but over the years I learned that it basically boils down to :
-fantasy grogs that got their game and setting nuked for something wildly different (the only ones on this list that have a valid excuse desu)
-twwh zoomies who learned the setting of their new favourite game got blown up and karl franz and all their other epic characters (that no one previously cared about) died, got told about the joke rules etc by the grogs and have been seething ever since
-40k culture warrior tourists spilling over
-40keks mad that aos is taking up valuable release windows that could be used for a new primaris lieutenant instead (this one has a new mark LXV shoulderpad and two more purity seals on his gun)
-40keks that were "going to start a fantasy army any day now but they killed it before I got a chance!"
-for this board specifically there's a ton of seething about everything "new" generally and aos is the "new" to fantasy's "old", even if they never bothered with warhammer in the first place.
Aos seething used to be pretty widespread but imo it's telling that nowadays it's basically been relegated to this place, select boomer facebook groups, and 40k lore sloptuber comment sections. The only "mainstream" place you'll find consistent aos seething is the total war subreddit lol, and even there they're starting to move on.
