>People are willing to pay $50 for a game
What's the problem here? The game had a very low budget of around $20-$40million, it broke even at 500,000 units sold.
So far announced confirmed it has sold 3.3million but unconfirmed estimates put it at 4million sold.
As long as the budget is low, the customer is more willing to pay for the game both parties win, the customer wins by getting a game they want for a lower price, the developer wins by earning a profit.
