The charging handle is awkwardly placed and the lack of a last round hold-open are legitimate criticisms. If not for the '86 import ban HK91s would never be as expensive as they are today; it's just a bunch of welded sheet metal. PTR specifically's quality control has become worse ever since JLD left the company in 2010.
