If everyone is aiming to be the biggest, most productive cow of the herd, all of those questionable hormone pills and injections won't seem so bad, they're important for us after all. Even if they tend to damage brain matter over time as a side effect, who cares? A small price to pay, really.
I guess the most productive cow should get a prize as well every month? Maybe a small milk bottle shaped tattoo on the ass cheek or back? A long row of those would be a source of pride for a well trained veteran cow.
