overheard one of my neighbours in the garden last night saying that someone stole some of her washing off the drying line

not me obviously but the concern is that I leave for work at 03:30AM when it's pitch black and everyone is asleep. For the record I was not working last night when this washing theft occurred and was tucked up in bed. But now this morning I will be leaving for work later at my usual time except all the neighbours will be on high alert for anyone skulking in the area

hopefully they know it's just me walking to my car then driving off to work. I'm just a normal man for pity's sake ( we're just normal men)
