The modern Hitman games copy almost every single core gameplay mechanic from Absolution. Movement, interaction, stealth, the Instincts system that highlights targets through walls, the blending system, the wacky roleplaying where Agent 47 pretends to be an astronaut or some shit and fires the target into the sun, it's all from this game. I feel like Blood Money fans have been trying to gaslight us for years. None of the gameplay mechanics that define the WoA trilogy are in Blood Money. You can't choke people out. You can't hide in crowds. You can't take cover behind things. You can't do takedowns, you can't hide people in closets, there's no Contracts system, there's no mechanic to stand there and eat bagels or whatever so the head of security doesn't notice you. Every time you go on a linear story sequence in WoA it just turns into Absolution. I feel most Hitman fans have never played anything older than Absolution. Most have only played WoA. And they just parrot that WoA is like Blood Money because something, something, sandboxes. But when you're following a guided mission path, the sandbox may as well not exist. And these guided paths were clearly added because there was a demand for Hitman to be more linear and less random and freeform.
