You can completely ignore them with an evade.
You can play around sin resistances.
You can swap around targets so your sinners don't stack rupture, bleed or whatever the red coin is inflicting.
Only win-ratards are mad about red coins.

NTA but a level 2 fort/prud nugget should be able to survive anything up to WAW with adequate armor types.
I usually just hire them and use lob points to level both of those stats to 2 and manually train them in justice and temperance. Obviously level fortitute and prudence later after maxing justice and temperance.
