Having less hair means having less things to take care of. That’s got to be a sign of masculinity. In a camp not having to get a hair cut ever month means you can campaign for years. Imagine all the looting you could have done in that time back in the 900’s. You could have retired by the time you were 21 if you hit the rich parts of town.
