Was it strictly necessary for the Americans to get involved with this shit again? Arguably not, Israel should take care of their own goddamn problems, the leeches, though the Iranians also genuinely deserved some slapping around for backing the Houthis, like it's the fucking 1700s and they're hiring privateers. Protecting western trade routes is ultimately still in my interest, so there's at least that side benefit.
Will the Americans be dragged into yet another stupid 20 year war which will cause both themselves and the rest of us needless grief? That may still happen, sure, but it's not gonna be the recent situation with Iran, that's already over and done with.

Hell, it's not even the first time that the Burgers have done some quick attacks on Iran which then didn't develop into anything further.
