The meteoric success does really call into question Bandai's decision to leave the market, but hindsight is 20/20 and all that. They probably didn't have the same confidence coming out of the pandemic as Takara Tomy, and were in a comparatively more precarious position as a brand due to Planet (both are complete guesses, but I think they're reasonable assumptions). I wish things turned out differently too, but it is what it is.
