I'm beginning to believe that pre-industrial society was simply better. Living in tandem with nature as a people probably means that they were closer to God than we are.

What's the point? You're all arguing about chairs existing before European contact but does that even matter? Did European contact help quality of life or did it just cause an unnatural population boom, throwing off the balance with nature?
