I like how in norse paganism the Satan character is someone who seeks to start conflicts with his whole family of Aesir until his big brother beats him up and chains him to a serpent. Sure, there are bible verses about not stirring up conflict and being peaceful, but there isn't an illustration quite like this story.

My favorite pagan god would have to Thor because he chained up that shit stirrer, Loki, who disrupted the party with endless accusations about the Aesir. Maybe, there's a metaphor in his particular punishment of having venom slowly dripped on to him.
