Reddit is basically only for established users and bots at this point, every single large subreddit is 100% locked down, you can post or comment but your shit will be hidden until you reach a certain amount of karma (upvotes) + account age, because your posts are hidden though you can't get karma which means you can't ever post, the way around this is to either find small niche still semi active communities (ie podcasters, art aggregators like the imaginary network, model building subs or probably the best option your local city subreddit) you can leave comments there and eventually get enough to post elsewhere

I have an account with like 100k that I got to by just posting on the subreddit for a twitch streamers I don't even watch, copy and pasted a common meme about them got like 100 upvotes in a thread, that let me post my own thread that got over a thousand upvotes which let me post in main subs which got me to 100k eventually, I stopped after that though reddit is simply bad for discussion, the tree style layout means you can't ever have anything more than a 1 on 1 conversation so nuance like on traditional forums/imageboards is impossible and people will just upvote memes, at this point I literally only post in the modelmakers/gunpla sub when I do something particularly impressive and in my city's sub because I love arguing with dumbass locals who I probably know anonymously and shitting on local businesses (seriously tho fuck the waitress at the local diner, bitch has forgotten shit from my order multiple times then threw a fit when I asked her to remove them from the bill since I never got them, how is her ass still employed?)
