Soren (also known as Harmful Mechanic) was the original creator of Dassault Mikoyan Engineering and Magellan Protectorate. He was crazy, and not in a good way. Anything that didn't go as he wanted would set him off and make him bitch harder than a whore with all her holes filled.
He was also one of the heads of what we call the "Modding Mafia", a bunch of wannabes that want to control the game's modding scene.
One of the most infamous things he did was to get the guy who created the Superweapons Arsenal mod banned from the community because, according to him, he'd used his code and art without permission. This has been proven false, despite what some people in USC and even here would like to believe.
Another infamous event was his mistreatment of Mayu and the developers of Sephira Conclave, which was originally known as Blade Breakers Plus (BB+), an addon mod for DME that was more popular than it. He went nuts when people asked him about that mod's bugs, posted a schizo-style manifesto and he tried to force the makers to destroy it. Emphasis on "tried". SC ended up outliving his mod. He's still the reason Mayu is so reclusive, and rarely speaks to others outside her own turf.
His final meltdown was in May of 2023, caused by, of all things, UAF. He hated the mod to the point he forced his faction's relationships with it to be permanently hostile. Someone called him out on it, he went berserk and pulled his mods from the forums. The last nail in the coffin was a leaked build of DME. He had an apoplexy, went on lots of rants in the forums, tried to play the victim card and ultimately got banned. In one last act of spite, Soren obliterated his entire online presence.
TECHNICALLY DME and Magellan are dead mods, but the community keeps them alive, but not in the forums nor in USC.
