Okay. So you have a dismissive and rigid concept of Final Fantasy. Very lame and gay. Have you ever been told that before?
You're admitting Yoshida doesn't have his own ideas by conflating his work with the previous, more creative men that he steals from. Btw.
So no respect from you for the legendary games like FFVII, FFVIII, FFX that paved the way for Final Fantasy to still exist today?
FFXIII trilogy has some of the very best gameplay and music in the entire series you know. What about Stranger of Paradise? How old are you, guy?

While I don't agree with what this says, the schism illustrated here shows the fundamental differences between
>flexible, young, open minded person ready to face new ideas
>old, stiff, close minded person stuck in their ways
I have an open mind with FF and what FF is. It's not tied to the color on the screen.
It's tied to the DESIGN of a JRPG experience, and the emotions that experience can elicit.
It allows you to enjoy the high fantasy setting and a science fantasy setting alike and you won't piss and cry when it inevitably changes around.
Whenever I bought FFXVI, I was very fucking excited to play this so called "good classic high fantasy Final Fantasy" that these people were shilling.
Because I love FF, I liked the trailers, and I wanted a new party based, action JRPG. But I didn't get that at all. Nobody did. FFXVI wasn't that game.
FFXIV isn't really that game either. It's not a JRPG, it's an FF reference carnival ride, WoW clone, and a literal "dress up" Barbie doll simulator. Never ending storyline without a central theme, and lore that is as bland as it is incomprehensible and dense. If I want to go play dress up, there are certainly better games out there. And If I want to play a Final Fantasy JRPG, there are definitely better out there.
If I want to play a dress up Final Fantasy JRPG, there are two very distinct options out there that come to mind.
