In the anime encyclopedia from 2001, there was an entry for Only Yesterday. Many of the anime listed in the anime encyclopedia is pretty poor, but for many, it was the best resource you had to find for an anime database. Still, the entry for Only Yesterday is bonkers. Not only did McCarthy feel the need to shove her opinion in it by acting like the movie had a backward anti-feminist message, but I wonder where the fuck she even came up with that, she clearly never watched that movie.
