Listen, it IS indeed a Happy ending, Anon and Fang get married and live their lives together, but there is also something missing from Fang. She gets into being a teacher to let others build and grow for themselves, that's cool, but she didn't really do that for herself, becoming isolated from the majority of the people in her life except for Anon, the only person who actually cared for her as her own individual instead of what whatever the fuck anyone else wanted her to be. It's a good ending that has an undercurrent of "... but there is more going on". I find it a better written ending, because it shows how messy life is, but to claim that it is all rainbows and sunshine is severely missing the point.
Also post more fucking snoot damn it.
