>Why exactly? It's one of the things I hate the most of 10th. The modular design of datasheets 40k had until 10th was much better.
Like how each datasheet has a few abilities to make them unique. This one has sticky objectives and this one gives rerolls when shooting a unit that killed a friendly unit and this one gets a buff at half strength. Stuff like that, that evokes fluff through game mechanics. I like that type of game design. I think a marriage of the two could be cool though, where there is essentially an upgrade or two for each unit that changes how they work slightly and they are free but mutually exclusive. But that's probably unneeded complexity that doesn't really add much.

Weve argued with each other for months. I get it, the lack of wargear cost to you is an unforgiveable sin that you will complain about in every thread for the next 4 years despite not even playing the game.
