Now, I love my country, I do, but I'm not blind to its problems. America has some insanely good food, but unfortunately, and I cannot stress this enough, our food literacy is probably among the worst in the world. Now what do I mean by food literacy? I do not mean "reading the ingredients" per-se, I mean understanding how to use food.

I cannot tell you the amount of times I have seen clueless retards look at me dumbfounded because I was cutting off chunks of parmesan to eat by itself. I cannot TELL YOU the amount of times gobsmacked inbred babies have looked at me like I had a third head and started warning me about food poisoning.

The people who know how to cook in this country are among the best in the world, but my fucking god, the general populace, curb-stompingly stupid...Is there some kind of campaign we could organize to change this? Guilt tripping people into feeling bad for being morons who don't know the basics of food literacy? I'm tired of feeling like I want to go outside and drive my car through a communal junction every fucking time people talk about food.
