MoS was a perfectly adequate popcorn movie and it was also adequately forgettable.
You know what it didn't succeed at? Generating a cinematic universe people wanted to watch.
The good will people had for DC as a brand and the interest audiences had in the "coke to Marvel's pepsi" did not carry that franchise beyond a few movies. Snyder did not make an enjoyable franchise and Cavill did not carry one.
MoS was supposed to be to DC what Ironman was to the MCU, and it failed.

The launchpad turned out to be a step-stool. MoS was fine by any metric (except to comic fags that wanted a more upbeat superman) but it was never the movie you wanted it to be and it did not succeed in the way your box office number fellating might otherwise indicate.

The simple fact we are having THIS conversation is testament to the fact that I am right and retards whining about the loss of the snyderverse are wrong.
If was any good, it will still be going. It isn't, because it wasn't.

I don't give two flying fucks about the worst superhero ever conceived or the far-too-soon reboot of his film franchise, but that doesn't mean it is enjoyable to see you fucking seething manchildren cry because you aren't getting to see Kind Daddy Nerd in a MoS sequel.
At least you can always rewatch the smash hit Batman vs Superman anytime you want.
