Thinking of it now, Zeldafags back in the day were insecure. Anyone who wanted Link to be some hack n slash Character Action badass was retarded, which they finally got with Hyrule Warriors a decade later but that was a given due to the nature of everything in the 90s and the early 2000s being TOTALLY RADICAL and KICKASS (IE: juvenile). Idk if anyone prior to OoT and Smash Bros. 64 ever wanted the series to be that going forward.

Idk what Zeldafag's even want anymore in general when it comes to the presentation, but they certainly don't want anything akin to WW or SS and purists definitely don't want anything MM-tier experimental though they sure do love to ignore that LA exists hence never shitting on it or give a shit about exploration and puzzles.
Then again all they ever focus on is the combat anyway when the series from it's roots it never about the combat, so it's either they a mesh of OoT, TP and Dark Souls, but also DMC, except not really or Ys, so pick a goddamn lane already.
