It’s finally happened – years of playing galge on this blog and I’ve finally found a title that I literally can’t fault. Please be aware that (as always) these scores are my subjective opinion and based on my enjoyment of a game so are just for fun.

Amakano 2 is as close to a perfect romance game as I’ve found – the heroines are wonderful, the artwork is gorgeous, the setting is cozy, the character interactions are enjoyable and most importantly the pacing of the romance is nice and slow, with some lovely confession scenes. I really feel that this game (and the Amakano series in general) does a great job of showing the closeness between the heroine and protagonist.

If saccharine stories are your preference or if you like any of the heroines then I would highly recommend Amakano 2.

I’m kinda sad that I waited so long between games to play Amakano2 but I was waiting until the fandisc came out. Luckily, I’ve been playing that recently and it’s as fluffy as one would expect.

At this point I’m praying for an Amakano 3 – Azarashi Soft did hint that the Amakano staff would be working on a new title for the brand’s anniversary next year (although I believe the project is planned for a 2025 release) so hopefully it’s something related to the series. Who am I kidding though, I’ll be buying it either way.
