BF4 had less attachment slots, meaning that a single attachment category had to allow for more customization
in BF6 you can oftenly choose different levels of impact for an attachment or a different tradeoff stat, like with the forgrip that reduces more recoil but also costs more accuracy on the move
then you slap on a magwell attachment for a faster reload and you effectively have the same if not better thing with more room for fine tuningz
