You know anon im not putting into question that its true its made to suck on purpose in Omori's case, I personally feel that works against Omori's narrative in fact because its much easier to just drop the Dream World in favor of the real one in Omori, which should be the opposite, the only thing that keeps the Dream World worth it in Omori's case is really just having Mari there, which is terrible for him because it keeps distorting into his last memory of her, hanging.
It is a huge narrative flaw because it doesnt account for the player's enjoyment of the dream world.
