I think bugs have a similar lifespan to the average Pokemon, which is good for Sneasel.
But yeah, it must suck for the few Pokemon that live a really long time, like Ninetales or Florges. I wonder if they tend to group together so they can be with other long-living species and not worry about all their friends dying early.
