Should've probably prefaced my post with it being the fan-interpretation of her character.
Ceroba certainly made a lot of mistakes and knows she was in the wrong, Pacifist fight showing this. It would be somewhat out of character to act like that given that even when she wanted Clover's soul she hesitated.
