What happened to Kratos is kind of a microcosm of gaming in general. You have this series with this sickass antihero doing awesome violent shit nonstop and fucking hookers, then it gets a modern reboot and it turns him into a meek boring stepdad who tries to teach you a pretentious preachy lesson about "being a better man". And now the game is slow and full of walk-and-talk segments like a TV series that ran out of budget. Basically everything that went wrong with modern AAA games in a nutshell
