>You're delulu if you think SP was bad.
>MP was inherently bad off the get go just by design.

NTA but nothing is wrong with online. Considering when I was able to form thoughts and memories it was the very early '90s and there was only SP. So once MP became a thing, you'd just hop into a server browser of a game and pick a server in your region, e.g. UKCS. Those had laidback mods that were neither lazy or overzealous.

If we already are forced to self-host in GTA, why not let us name the fucking server we are on? There are crew and friend only lobbies. The issue here for me with "modern" MP is that I don't want to be friends with everyone. You don't fucking want that. It wears people out. So the '90s kids had "third places". If you don't know, those are not home or work. It could be a parking lot or a fast food diner where you hang out.

I just want this back with MP games. Have player moderated lobbies without needing FiveM or some overblown MP mod. I like to meet people where they are. A named server of a region where we all have a decent enough ping. I like playing with people talking my fucking language, be that fluent English or any other. Online sucks because there are always people that refuse to fit in, and that can be fixed with server browsers.

This would be zero effort. Rockstar lives under a fucking rock. Discord may be shit, but it is your shitty place. If you want people to spend money on your game, then make them feel at home and form some basic parasocial bond. If I really have to point it out: Throwing people from all around the world randomly in sessions with retarded kids that can just scream in a foreign language will NOT make your shitty open world sandbox appealing in the long run!

Crews are TOO large. You cannot form a bond with 200+ people and expect to remember them a month later. Is this not obvious, R*?
