oh and if you mean hitting them while they're animation locked, no. it's like m1ing them on hook, it doesn't do anything but they will play a "i got hit" noise
only if they flash white and enter deep wounds did you actually strike them, so a little timing is needed if you're trying to hit them the moment they're off the hook.
pyramid head and wesker are the best at doing this as they can hit both with their power. wesker specifically needs to grab the unhooker as the animation finishes and slam them into the unhookee
