"Once an /asp/ie always an /asp/ie" does not allow newer /asp/ies to accumulate mindshare and it muddies the thread with ancient and irrelevant discussion of past /asp/ies who don't even engage with the thread or they merely engage minimally. It is a mindset that diminishes thread quality. I encourage readers to engage with those who've currently anchored themselves to the thread. They have skin in this game.
