Hitler was a figurehead in all honesty, he takes the blame for everything due to his position. He basically vanished from public for the entirety of the war, that's something a lot of people never mention either. The reason being he was being drugged by the scam artist "Doctor" Morell and his daily injections.
I doubt Hitler was even aware of what was happening, it was all Himmler,Heydrich, Rosenberg and Bormann and all their vast lackeys in each department.
Most people ignore that Hitler had zero interest in running the nation, he only cared for the military and gave his entire inner circle the Fuhrer authority meaning no one lower down can question any orders from the inner circle as they were granted the Fuhrers authority to act on his behalf as they saw fit. A very idiotic choice.
