I've done it since it was added. I think it's a nice bonus and has led to me getting cool servants I didn't otherwise plan for. Is it worth it? On paper, no, it's a big cost for a chance at some stuff, but as someone otherwise good with my money I have this as my one dumbass luxury and I enjoy it. Let's the game surprise me.
