>On July 1, 2025, a massive interstellar object—designated 3I/ATLAS—was detected entering the solar system. Estimated at ~20 km in diameter and traveling at ~70 km/s, it is larger, faster, and darker than any interstellar object previously observed. It exhibits no cometary outgassing, no tail, and no signs of natural volatility despite its size and trajectory.
