Nothing in that post says that Ryukishi did anything else besides write a plot that has more Satoko in it, aka a loosely written script.

The "concept" in question was square enix asking if he could write a sequel about Keiichi and the club members kids, him deciding to have Rena a divorced single mom and Mion married to some Yakuza gangster was 100% his idea something he's admitted in interviews stating how he felt it would feel odd if he had all the girls married to Keiichi. What's even worse is that he absolutely wrote the script for the story meaning not only did he write the plot with even more depth than Gou, he also made sure the Mangakas stuck to his script while allowing them some leeway with elements outside of the main story like Natsumi Kei adding other WTC characters in the background as Easter eggs. So Ryukishi wrote a story where Satoko was canonically a mother to two children from Keiichi, while Rika was a single roastie who traveled around the world alone for most of her life.
As for Ryukishi distancing himself from it, it's simply because Reiwa just isn't profitable. No ship outright won and he ruined his own ending by ending it with nothing but gags. At least with Gou it had a new animation (That the pachinko companies reached out to Ryukishi and asked him to write a new script for a new anime that they will provide funding for, utterly blowing any idea that Ryukishi made Gou for any genuine reason out of the water) and had a ton of yuribait and marketed as beginner friendly bringing in as many people as possible.

Same way Reiwa and Kokoroiyashi-hen are his stories, where Satorika is nowhere to be seen
