I would even argue Cinderella Gray is a technically better start to the series than S1 because it actually explains everything about racing and starts from bumfuck nowhere low-scale races and gradually moves up.
If you already watched the movie and OVAs there's no reason to pass on it I'd say, but just give it the 3 episode rule and see if it's your thing.
