Unfortunately we don't discuss the story because there's no new story for the most part. And the limited new story there is for reco stuff, I get the feeling that a lot of sisters are either playing on JP or just skipping the story nodes, because nobody has mentioned any of it. I'm guilty of this too, I'm on JP so I know nothing about the new story. Hopefully steam version will be moddable in a way that lets me play on JP in english. But I dont see other sisters really bringing it up.
I think Exedra just wasnt designed very well from a "getting people invested" way. Everyone already knows the story of Madoka Magica. Exedra is way too low budget and shit to hold onto gacha hoppers, and the lack of anything new or interesting means that long term fandom members dont have anything new to be invested. Maybe like, a fully revised retelling of the story of MagiReco could've drawn people in, but it was always going to be incredibly different to go from the world that people loved in Reco to the boring status quo in Exedra. I'm not sure what the right move would've been, but it wasn't what they've done.
