I haven't really been tracking exactly how much I've spent. I buy all the limited time packs/bundles in both the app and the web store. Usually when they have those on sale that is about ~$120 total (across the small, medium and large training packs) per store (app and web store), and I think they have had those sales maybe three times so far since the game's launch. So $120 x 2 x 3 = $720

The exedra passes are about $20 per month so that part totals out to around $60 since launch.

I've also bought the big packs on the web store maybe 8 times since launch? I haven't kept track exactly. That comes out to around $65 x 8 = $520

So if I had to estimate, I've probably spent around $1300. Could be a little more than that if there were other pack sales that they had that I forgot about.

Right now I have all the megucae except for Momok, but I'm sure she'll come home eventually

In Magia Record I probably spent around $2500 in total over the game's lifespan. As for other gacha, I typically don't whale this hard. I usually just buy whatever monthly pass they have and buy enough paid currency to do the special paid-only rolls or to buy other items like how in Magia Record you could buy choose your own 5 star and stuff like that. I do the daily paid rolls on banners for cute girls in FGO but never spend paid currency to roll on banners that can otherwise use free currency. I also play Blue Archive (started playing in February) and spend a bit there too, maybe average $120 a month there.

I forgot how long it takes to clear layer 39. 3 of those familiars are very tanky. It's safe to auto once you've killed the 2 squishy ones though.

Sisters, I can't decide whether to go for Tsuruno or Yachiyo for the selector. I've literally never used Tsuruno ever, but A1->A2 is probably safer than going for A4 Yachiyo. I already get too many 500 medal pulls with just Madoka/Ren/Felicia . Tsuruno looks underwhelming on paper though so I'm really considering A4 Yachiyo because the extra turn might just be what I need in chaos.

I did the free 10 pull on Alina and it had 9 blues + 1 purple, then when I clicked to start going through them it didn't let me, and instead an animation played with a clock rewinding to before the pull and had Namae doing the whole thing again which resulted in this one

First of all, check the guide (3rd link in the OP). Second, take either Ren or Himika and put your highest SPD portrait on her and use her skill whenever you can. You don't even need Yuma, Kirika should be enough to keep your party alive and you can slot in 4* buffer or a 4* breaker (Karin) to help you break and kill her faster.

I think she's good enough already and probably won't be buffed. She's made for crit parties in particular and gives the party enough speed to deal with most battles.

I've been messing around with a bunch of my lesser used girls for heartphial missions and have come to the conclusion that Tsuruno (and a few others) are actually really good. She let's a lot of attackers snag kills they wouldn't have and when she is paired with Yachiyo/Madokami they can kill a lot of the nightmare mode bosses before they even break. Tsuruno just seems a lot worse than she really is because of how op action advance spam is in comparison.

Snaa on the other hand needs some bugfs. Only defender whose damage doesn't scale with defense and her short barrier duration makes her hard to use on any team with Mami or Moemura.

For 41-44 I focused down 1 or 2 enemies with my usual party of Kirika, Pluvia Madoka, Homura, Mami and Kaede then auto'd the remaining enemies. You can make sure to hit your follow-up attacks on the enemies attacking you're not killing right away to lower their damage output.
For 45, I brought Ren and Momoko instead of Homura and Kaede.
For 46-49, I brought Madokami instead of Homura, though Oriko should work fine if you don't have her.
It all went smoothly on the first try, didn't have any difficulty.

I'm running Kirika, Alina, cool Homura, pluvia Madoka and Himika and I'm still getting my shit kicked in by level 30 tower, the Mermaid witch. How do I improve my party? Everyone is lvl 100 and magic level is mostly 120.

Also I hope someone will explain me what is the difference between "debuff" and "ailment". Ailments look like debuffs except they're called... ailments, not debuffs?

Ailments are square shaped, debuffs are red and irregular pentagons.
Put a speed portrait on Himika and use her skill on every turn she gets to have her burn always up on Oktavia. She has some ailment resistance, so it might not always land.
By doing that, you prevent her from buffing her speed and attack at every turn with her ability.
Next, replace Alina with an attacker. Your goal with a party that only has 1 sustain character is to be able to kill her within 2 breaks at most. Ideally an attacker that can take advantage of her weakness but any single target attacker should do.

Felicia is a debuffer, not an attacker. Oriko is an AOE attacker so she's not really fit for this one either. You could bring Masara instead, she should be a better option on this layer.

why can't i beat tower lvl 35?

am i supposed to not use barriers because izabel and her minions do boosted damage to barriers? or should i still be using kirika/sana and trying to push through that effect? i tried replacing my second attacker with rena and targeting the adds, but izabel keeps summoning more enemies. should i just focus on her whenever there's only 1? but if there are more than 1 i take too much damage.

alongside the usual homura and pluvia, i've tried kaede+rena+kirika, kaede+rena+sana, kaede+oriko+rena, and now doppel iroha+oriko+rena and i still take a double hit and die at some point.

i got super close to winning with rena+kaede+pluvia+kirika+homura twice, but i couldn't finish after losing someone each time.

You can clear with Kirika + Reira/Kaede but you don't need to bring 2 sustain characters. Reira alone will do.

Homura, Kirika, Mami, Pluvia, Felicia. Focus down inner left add then inner right add at every wave. Break the barriers on the outermost ones with Homura whenever they have one.
Only use basic attacks and special with Felicia.
Only use battle skill on Madoka and Kirika.
Only use Homura's battle skill when an enemy is broken or you need to break a barrier, while keeping enough SP for Madoka and Kirika.
