On the topic of long levels eviternity 1's levels are actually a lot briefer than I remember, map 15 might as well be an Erik Alm speedmap in comparison to the average level in EV2
I hated the episode 2 secret map the first time around playing unmodded, only partly because I didn't know the archviles in the final room are supposed to be killed by the gimmick and I peekabooed them with 50 rockets, and partly because a turret cyberdemon threatening instakills over the course of a 3 hour map is not my cup of tea.
I also forgot how high Solomon's stats are, jumping and running around at doomguy speeds with 400 7.62 in stock, but it's all needed here
