I think it would be funny to do something like Alpha Legion since it would be in character, but realistically on a lower commitment project like a full Kill Team or a specialized squad in 30k. And from the looks of Vallejo's videos, they show off a few Necrons with the stuff, the one on the right is using it primarily for toning.
