It still surprises me that Latias, along with Bianca, actually shows up in the anime after more than 20 years of no mentions which was a pleasant surprise and nice to know that M05 is completely and utterly canonized in a way that deniers would be unable to deny the canonicity of the film's characters and events like Latias and the kiss.

Something crossed my mind, didn't the Gigaleak actually mentioned the original plan for the last set of episodes actually was supposed to start with Ash meeting up with M05 Latias in Alto Mare before the two set off on an adventure or am I completely misremembering that?
